The city of Herculaneum was a refined Roman holiday resort, which directly overlooked the sea. Also famous for its famous Villa dei Papiri, still almost entirely underground, it was overwhelmed by the same fate that also affected the more famous Pompeii.
The guided tour will lead you to discover the enchanting frescoed domus, the streets and the most important buildings of the city: the thermal baths, the shops, the Sacello degli Augustali, the gymnasium and the ancient beach.
