Guided tour in Campania

Paestum

Description

With its 110 hectares, the Archaeological Park of Paestum is considered one of the most beautiful and interesting in Italy, above all for the state in which the three great temples are preserved: the temple of Ceres, the Basilica and the temple of Neptune, built over 2500 years ago.

THE SO-CALLED TEMPLE OF NEPTUNE

This interesting guided tour will allow you to deepen your knowledge of Magna Graecia through an interesting walk in the archaeological area, lasting about two hours. In addition to the temples, in the ancient city there were very important buildings for the community, such as the amphitheater, the forum and some sanctuaries. Still intact and visible are the imposing walls, built in travertine, the same local stone used to erect the imposing temples.

The guided tour also includes a stop at the adjacent museum, full of fundamental artifacts and discoveries, such as the famous tomb of the diver and burials from the Lucan era.
